Brandy received her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan, and then moved on to graduate from the Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy program at the University of Alberta in 2009. That was by no means the end of her education as she continued to develop her physical therapy skills by attending several post-graduate courses including acupuncture, Biomedical Dry Needling, concussion management, chronic pain management, Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluation, Graston technique, Wheelchair Seating Symposiums and several manual therapy courses to name a few.
Brandy has spent her career working in a variety of practice settings, including private practice clinics, acute care medicine, long term care, private care homes and running her own private home care physical therapy business. In her spare time, Brandy enjoys working with the Regina Riot women’s WWCFL football team, the Leboldus High School football team, as well as providing sports therapy coverage at a variety of athletic events.
Brandy has also been a member of the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapist’s board since 2010, on which she has held the roles of treasurer, president – elect and is currently president of the council. Brandy has also been a member of the Canadian Alliance of Physical Therapy Regulators’ (CAPR) board since 2012, holding the position of President of the Board from 2016-2019. Brandy is currently a member of the International Network of Physiotherapy Regulatory Authorities membership committee, working to improve the awareness of this organization and make contacts with regions wanting to become regulated.
